Small, friendly, clean and comfortable.
Inaccessible - when arriving late at night, the hotel was difficult to find, parking not easy and entrance through the back door gave a bad first impression to a hotel that only needs to do a couple of things make it an excellent small and friendly hotel, situated in a nice part of Spain, Begur and offering good value for money.
Excellent staff. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the location is central to many gorgeous beaches and medieval villages.
Very nice people, located really in the centre of Begur, very good breakfast, nice room
Perhaps it is possible to make an description of the route to the hotel to unpack the car.
The hotel restaurant Fonda Caner was outstanding quality and value for money. Their set menu prices and choices were very good and the quality of 'house' wine was tremendous. You would pay much more than this for average or much poorer wine in a UK restaurant in our opinion. It was so good that we ate there for 3 out of our 4 night stay, something we never ever do in any country, but the quality was that good. The staff were all extremely welcoming and genuinely helpful, it was a pleasure for them to receive us and provide local knowledge, recommendations etc. After a casual conversation with one of the staff about the forthcoming Peixe Roca (Rock fish) festival, she printed off a Catalan traditional recipe for me to take home, a lovely thoughtful gesture. Don't worry about the bell chiming at night, you will be so relaxed after walking around and eating in the beautiful Fonda Caner you will sleep like a baby.
Loved the high standard of the comfortable accomodation and the extremely helpful staff. We could choose where to eat but we looked forward to the breakfast and our meals as there was so much choice and they were consisytently beautifully prepared and presented. We will certainly be returning to explore more of the beutiful costal paths..
There was notthing that did not come up to a high standard.
Very pleasant staff.
Nowhere to sit and very dark bedrooms.
Breakfast excellent variety of both freshly cooked hot spanish + english dishes with very interesting breakfast tapas / pastries
Bathroom a little on the small side but to compensate there was a jacuzzi bath.
The ffod at breakfast was not good nor tasty. This is pitty since the hotel room, stuff etc were excellent.
We appewciated the welcoming atmosphere, attention to detail, and especially our roof-top evening meals
We thought the Rosa was a really good place to stay in Begur. Possibly the best thing about it is the wonderful breakfast. We had no negative experiences at all.
One problem was that the map and directions on Booked.net are wrong, and will never laed you to anywhere near the hotel. Guests should be advised to park where they can in town, and find the hotel on foot.
The staff were excellent, accommodating and informed.
The atmosphere was welcoming and very helpful. Lovely location in a beautiful small town, with wonderful views of the countryside and the coast. We had booked for one night and stayed for three.
Difficult to find when driving due to the narrow and one-way streets.
Charming hotel in centre of Begur, itself a delightful old town on the Costa Brava. Great buffet breakfast.
Not easy to find and public parking 50m away and expensive. However hotel does have some private parking.
very friendly staff and hotel right in centre of historic village. large comfortable room and great restaurant.
Hotel Rosa was a pleasant surprise in that I was expecting something nice but this hotel exceeded all my expectations. The town is very interesting and beautiful and the hotel is well located mere steps from the center of the historic area in an interesting building. The room was lovely, quiet and well-appointed. The hotel's restaurant has truly amazing chefs. Breakfast was a bountiful buffet and the best I've ever had as an included meal. We ate dinner there too and I highly recommend the duck. Staff were friendly and helpful about providing maps and details on hiking down to the beach, which is about a 40-minute hike from town. In the high season apparently there is a bus. I wish I could have stayed longer. I'll miss those breakfast
